Women’s Mental Health Counseling in Sioux Falls

You hold a lot: parenting, work, marriage, aging parents, everyone’s calendar. Your own mental health deserves its own room.

Krysta has spent years counseling women carrying the weight of parenting and work-life balance, and she knows the particular guilt that comes with taking time for yourself. This is not indulgence. It is the nourishment growth actually requires.

Is Any of This Familiar?

Women’s Issues & Identity

You are not sure who you are anymore outside of what everyone needs from you.

Work-life Balance

You are doing everything, at work, at home, for everyone, and still going to bed feeling like you are failing at all of it.

Family Strategies & Support

A new baby, an empty nest, a career shift, and suddenly you feel like a stranger to yourself.

Parenting & Mom Guilt

You snap, then lie awake replaying it, sure everyone else is handling this better.

The Mental Load

You remember the appointments, the permission slips, the birthdays, and no one sees the weight of holding it all in your head.

Running on Empty

Rest does not restore you anymore. You are exhausted in a way a nap does not touch.

And if your first instinct was to feel guilty for even reading this page, that is worth talking about too.

More Than Self-Care. Growth Care.

ACT Narrative Therapy Somatic techniques

Scrolling, bingeing a series, ice cream at midnight: there is a difference between what numbs us and what nourishes us. Counseling with Krysta helps you find that line, build rhythms that actually restore you, and reconnect with who God made you to be, not just what everyone needs you to be.

The work is honest about the roles you carry without reducing you to them. Wife, mom, daughter, employee: those are places you give. Counseling is a place you receive, and receiving is not a character flaw.

What Sessions Look Like

One protected hour that is entirely yours. No one needs anything from you in it. The work moves between the practical (rhythms, boundaries, the calendar that is eating you) and the deeper story: who you were before the roles, and who you are becoming inside them. Somatic work helps, because a body that has run on alert for years has its own unlearning to do.

Sessions are available in person at the Sioux Falls office or online anywhere in South Dakota, which removes the commute when the calendar wins.
